A Doll’s House Part 2 by Lucas Hnath is an extraordinary, emotional, moving and witty play. Now live at the Segal Centre for Performing Arts this is a must-see performance. Named one of Time Magazine’s “Top 10 of 2017”, the production explores the difficulties of all human relationships that are all too relatable. Take note that not seeing the original play will have no impact on your enjoyment of Part 2.
The performance is centered around Nora, a daring woman who closed the door on her domestic life 15 years earlier, leaving her husband and three young children. She is now back in their life for one reason only, and that isn’t to apologize. During the play, we witness her reconnecting with her caregiver (from a young age), her adult daughter (whom she barely knows) and her husband. The actors in this show were truly moving. Each of them had immense stage presence and their every word captivated the audience. Compliments to them on their tremendous performance.
“I want to do nothing but talk about A Doll’s House, Part 2 for the rest of my life.”
– The Washington Post
